Service Process

How often should I service my aircon?

In Singapore's tropical climate, we recommend every 3 months for units running daily. For lighter usage, every 6 months is sufficient. Tenancy agreements often mandate quarterly servicing, so check your lease requirements.

How quickly can you respond to an emergency?

For emergencies such as complete cooling failure or active water leaks, we dispatch within 2 hours. For standard service bookings, same-day slots are typically available. Call or WhatsApp +65 8546 1234 to arrange.

Services & Scope

What does a general aircon servicing include?

Our standard service covers filter cleaning, evaporator coil wipe-down, drainage tray flushing, blower wheel cleaning, and a full drainage pipe inspection. Chemical wash, refrigerant top-up, and parts replacement are quoted separately if needed.

How do I know if my aircon needs a chemical wash?

Signs include weakened cooling despite regular servicing, a musty or sour smell, visible black slime or jelly in the drainage, or a unit that has not been chemically cleaned in over two years. Singapore's high humidity accelerates biofilm buildup, so most units benefit from a chemical wash every 12 to 18 months.

Does my aircon need a gas top-up every year?

No. Air conditioning operates as a sealed refrigerant system. If it consistently loses gas, there is a leak that needs to be found and repaired. We locate and fix the leak first, then recharge the system. Recurring top-ups without leak detection are a sign of an underlying problem.

What is included in a maintenance contract?

Our maintenance contracts include scheduled general servicing at your preferred frequency (quarterly or bi-annually), priority response for issues between visits, and locked-in multi-unit pricing. Chemical wash and parts replacement are quoted separately when needed.

Why is my aircon making unusual noises?

Rattling typically indicates a loose fan blade or housing component. A humming sound often points to a failing capacitor or fan motor. Buzzing may signal an electrical issue with the relay or contactor. Any persistent noise beyond a brief rattle should be inspected to rule out compressor damage.

When should I consider replacing my aircon instead of repairing it?

Generally, if the repair cost exceeds 50% of a new unit's price, the system is over 10 years old, or it still uses R22 refrigerant (which is being phased out under NEA guidelines), replacement is usually more cost-effective. Our technicians will give you an honest assessment during the site visit.
